Elevated Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 & 1/4 cup All-Purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips + 1/4 cup for topping
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, place softened butter and both sugars. Mix together until combined.
  • Add in baking powder, baking soda, oats, and flour. Mix together.
  • Add vanilla, honey, and egg until mixture comes together.
  • Finally, stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto sheet, about 2 inches apart. With the remaining chocolate chips, place on top of cookie scoops to get that perfect cookie look.
  • Place into fridge or freezer for atleast 15 minutes or until chilled.
  • When ready, bake cookies for 8-12 minutes. Take them out when cookies are starting to brown on the edges but the center still looks slightly uncooked.
  • Leave cookies in pan and allow them to cool for 5 minutes. Then remove from pan and enjoy your perfectly ooey-gooey cookies!
